Bob is the Observatory's Treasurer. He is a long-time resident of the Town of Cedarburg, living on the shore of Cedar Creek. Along with his wife, Mary, he has converted their two-acre home site from a bluegrass desert to a mix of prairie and hardwood forest. He is a retired CPA with an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He has worked with a number of small businesses in southeastern Wisconsin in the capacity of controller or chief financial officer.
In retirement, he is an avid fisherman, natural landscaper, birdwatcher (35 years doing the Christmas Bird Count), and reader of historical fiction, biographies, and science fiction. In addition, he is past president (twice) of the Milwaukee North Sunrise Rotary Club, a prior Volunteer of the Year for the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, and a member of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters.
