On Sunday October 11, 2015 fourteen birders spent nine hours looking for and finding fifty-five bird species.

Dani Baumann and Becca Sher started the day at 6:00 am on the Bill Cowart Memorial Hawk Watch Platform under a gorgeous clear night sky. After the sun came up bird experts Marilyn Bontly, Norma Zehner, Kathy Gallick, and Joan Sommer joined the group.  The Kaehny brothers, Seth Cutright, and other visitors helped add to the daily total.
