The Birds of North America (BNA) is a huge reference work covering the life histories of North America’s birds. The print version of BNA was completed in 2002 – 18 volumes, 18,000 pages -- a joint 10 year project of the American Ornithologists' Union, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and the Academy of Natural Sciences. Two copies of BNA were donated to Madison Audubon Society, and MAS has just donated an entire BNA set to the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory. Shown here are Noel and Bill accepting this wonderful gift from Karen Etter Hale and Pete Cannon of Madison Audubon. Thanks to Mark Martin for helping to make this happen!
